For our exhibition booth at the Tonmeistertagung 2023, our team of brilliant acousticians developed this simplified demo. It intuitively shows the difference in impact noise insulation- between conventional and optimized solutions.
The two blocks use two different materials. On each block we set a straight line of black pepper kernels (feisty!)… and started hammering away at the foundation! If you look closely, you will see which line stays in order, and which one gets out of it.
